A movie could be written about Keith Leavitt’s story of substance abuse, addiction, being a nightclub promoter in Las Vegas, and ultimately giving it all up and finding meaning in living a sober life and sponsoring other men to help them do the same.
In this exciting and suspenseful episode, you’re going to hear in great detail how Keith was a highly-function addict for years.
Keith reveals that his career promoting for clubs in Vegas pretty much required that he be partying himself.
So Keith worked and worked all the while drinking tons of alcohol, taking OxyContin and other opioid pills, and whatever other drugs would help him either stay away and have energy or fall asleep when his work was done.
He was making so much money working in this industry in Las Vegas that he thought he had a great marriage since he was such a great provider.
However, one day Keith’s wife told him she was leaving him and taking their kids away, and this totally blindsided him.
Keith believed that since he was such an effective financial provider that this fact made him a good husband and father.
It was a rude awakening for him, but he didn’t quit drinking and using drugs permanently after this conversation with his wife.
On Keith’s journey to finally getting clean and sober and transforming his life, he has a long series of experiences that, when you hear him talk about them, you’ll feel like you’re going through it all with him.
Overcoming Addiction Like a Champion
This episode goes to show that ending addictions for good is often not a linear process, and it’s commonly one of the hardest challenges the person will ever have to face.
But Keith faced the facts and went to a great treatment program where he got hooked up with the right people, and as a result of his continued dedication to self-improvement, fitness, health, emotional health, working a strong program, and sponsoring other men, he has completely changed his identity, body, mind, and lifestyle.
